Location: Canmore, AB
Project Type: Sightseeing and Natural Activity Experienc
Project Size: TBD
Client: Stone Creek Resorts
Website: www.stonecreekresorts.com

The proposed Rocky Mountain Sky Ride project will provide a sightseeing gondola ride from the majestic Bow Valley adjacent to the TransCanada highway and Banff National Park, passing through the proposed Silvertip Village and rising 950 m up to the Teahouse ridge on Mount Lady Macdonald. It will utilize two different lift systems; a gondola from the Base Area to Silvertip Village, and a tram from the village to the Summit.

In 2015 Stone Creek Resorts directed the creation of a Strategic Business Plan to develop a compelling and successful lift attraction at the Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. Groundeffects was chosen to complete the plan as a result of their tourism industry experience and their direct involvement with the Sea to Sky Gondola. A key consideration in the plan was ensuring the proposed project forms an integral part of the Silvertip Resort and the proposed new Silvertip Village to be built over the next 10 years.
